Open Question: Is Maryland a Northern or Southern state?

Also, same question for West Virginia and Delaware. I think Maryland and Delaware are part of the Northeast, regardless of their histories. And West Virginia is shaped too weirdly to be classified at all. It's just the "In-between State" to me. Why can't we just give the Northern Panhandle to Pennsylvania or Ohio, and the Eastern Panhandle to Maryland, and then West Virginia would be much simpler to classify. Who agrees?... Read More »
